# What is the final exam period?

> The final exam period, often called finals week, is the block of days at the end of a term set aside for final exams, with no regular classes. At many Canadian universities it runs about two weeks.

## How does the final exam period work?

The registrar usually publishes the exam schedule partway through the term, and your exam's time and room may differ from your class time. Many schools have rules for exam conflicts or three exams in a day.

Some schools also have a short study break before exams start. Dates and rules vary by school.

## How Dash helps during finals

Once the schedule is out, Dash saves each exam's time and texts you before it. Ask for a study plan and it works backward from your real exam dates, giving the most time to the exams worth the most, with practice quizzes along the way.

## Questions

### When does the final exam schedule come out?

Usually several weeks into the term, on the registrar's site. Your course page may also post it.

### What if two of my finals overlap?

Contact your registrar or exams office quickly. Most schools have a process to reschedule conflicts.
